NICOLE: DATE WITH A SINGER

Since everyone needs to know everything in my life. For some reason I have a thing for girls that can and will sing for me. And when I heard Nikki's MP3 I was totally impressed and interested. Her songs are deep and rich in feeling. She responded to one of my personal ads

Before I went out on another blind date, I was thinking that maybe my dating style was a bit old-school. Maybe I should kiss on a first date and maybe I should hold hands without bothering to think about it and hesitating. But I also wanted to be myself. I didn't want to put up a front and totally fake her up. So this blind date I was gonna do something completely different while still being able to keep my persona.

So I picked Nikki at around 12:00 noon and of course I got lost again. And I had like 3 different directions. I saw her and I was really impressed. She was very cute and attractive to me, though she doesn't believe it. I just went on a feeling. Lucky me it turned out good :-)

We went out to lunch first in Ontario Mills at the Cucina Cucina restaurant. I've never been there before and I was really interested in how it was like. On the table was some crayons and a piece of white paper that covered the table. Nikki drew a little collage for me that I thought was cute so I had to take a picture of it. She drew me and my whacked hair and some other stuff that I thought was cute. We talked and conversed for about an hour. The food was ok... it kinda reminded me of like an Italian Denny's.

We then went to the actual Ontario Mills to go around and walk and talk and, of course, go shopping. But in the parking lot rather than scheme on sleek ways to try to hold her hand, I just took it. We spent about 2 hours there and ended up at GameWorks. We played a couple of games like Air Hockey and... urrrgghh... Dance Dance Revolution. She was totally kicking my ass. I had like 20,000 points and she had like 8 million points. I lost in Air Hockey but only in a fluke, so I expect a rematch sometime in the future. This is where our first kiss happened. I kissed a girl in the first couple hours of knowing her and that is so totally not me. But at the same time I'm glad it wasn't me. I wasn't so uptight and conservative about it.

After walking around the mall we went to the nearby theater and watched some movies. We watched Scary Movie 2 but only the first hour and a half before we went and watched Kiss of the Dragon. Kiss of the Dragon has some kick-ass fight scenes so I suggest you all go see it. Afterwards it was around 7:00 so we went out to dinner at New York New York which has now become one of my new favorite eating places. There was a guy playing the piano that played some cool tunes, too bad he didn't know any Pachabel or Tocata in Fugue. The New York steak is one of the best I've ever tasted. Very romantic place too. Has candle-lights and everything.

Then afterwards we had to go to my most favorite hangout in high school... CastlePark. I love it there and used to go there with my friends like every week. That was the best time I've had mini-golfing in a long time. We had the most romantic and fun night ever there, well at least I believed so. Of course the winner was me by one stroke. Afterwards we just walked around and then I took her home. The only awkward moment was when her grandma opened the door as I was... ahem... saying good-bye.

I had a lot of fun that night and it was everything that I'd had been needing for a long time. I definitely had to make a second date with her the next day. Of course she didn't get to sing to me the first date but she more than made up for it when SWV's Weak song came on. :-)
