In this drawing we were to combine a foreground,
middle-ground, and background with heavy transition
lines. The foreground consist of some shrubbery, the
middle-ground is an airplane with a pilot looking at
the sky, and the background is just a mixture of
random shapes and colors.
This was my rendition of abstract
art in oil pastel. We were given two different
transparencies of artwork, asked to combine them in
an abstract way, and this was the result.
In this particular art piece we
were given free range to any style in oil pastel,
but it had to include a human figure. So I decided
to do an anime-style woman. She's firing guns in an
empty void.
Split Interpretation is my
interpretation of one person of our choice that we
know on a deeper perspective split into two
different pieces; one representing our visual
interpretation, and one of our fantasy
representation. It was then painted over with black
acrylic in which we later etched out streaks to show
foreground and background.
Darkaos is complete and random
chaos mixed with pieces of magazines and newspapers
in the background painted in black acrylic. I
decided to make some of the shapes into faces.
